Spring, 2008 -- We have been actively engaging in community education regarding the problems associated with Methamphetamine. Sheriff Evinger recently joined an esteemed panel group at a forum for the Southern Oregon Meth Project. The number of participants was very encouraging and a positive step in addressing the effects this scourge has cast upon our communities.

Antiquated radio equipment on the mountain tops across the county is being replaced and relocated with modern communication equipment. The radio system will give greater reliability, safety and interoperability. The system is expected to be operative by early summer.
