Spring, 2013 – In the past, this Sheriff’s Office only processed
CHL’s once a week for half a day. The
requests for the concealed handgun licenses
have tripled in the last few months and we
now are processing them two days a week
using a part time employee to fingerprint and
photograph applicants. It is also taking a
little longer than normal to get them finalized
due to the backup in background checks.
The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating
a missing person case from last July. Isaac
Roberts went missing on July 27th, 2012,
reportedly on the north highway. Some clues
were found in the area but still no Isaac.
The major crimes team is still involved and
continue to follow up on leads in the case.
We just partnered with Enterprise Police in a
new radar trailer. It seems to be very popular,
as we are having trouble keeping up with
requests for where to put it.
